I bet every Best Buy employee who's seen that movie absolutely cringed. Seth Rogen's character is a stoner horndog who will have sex with anything. My favorite scene was the one where Jay's girlfriend finds out he went to the speed dating and comes in and asks Andy if he said all these obnoxious things like "hurtin' for a squirtin'" and "ho fo' sho'". Everybody says you gotta check out one of these shows. Weird but true fact: The actor who played the grouchy-old-man coworker is now serving life in prison for the attempted murder of his girlfriend, having stabbed her 23 times. I sort of expected it to be a bunch of juvenile humor about how funny it is that a guy that old is a virgin, but ultimately we find out that all of the guys who are obsessed with getting him laid are considerable more messed up. And we thought it would be fun, you know, to go to a show. We get there and we think it's gonna be awesome and... David, after running into his ex-girlfriend Amy, has an emotional breakdown at work.
"It's a personal choice," he says, "and I don't think there's anything wrong with that." The girl thanks Andy for his support, even though it's clear she's desperate to terminate her virginity the first chance she gets. David pulls his pants down and videotapes his backside. Copulating dogs are shown to emphasize how unnatural Andy's virgin status is. Andy fumbles through a mountain of condoms trying to put one on.At a poker game with his co-workers David (Paul Rudd), Cal (Seth Rogen), Mooj (Gerry Bednob), and Jay (Romany Malco), when conversation turns to past sexual exploits, the group learns that Andy is still a virgin, and resolve to help him lose his virginity. The men give Andy different and sometimes contradictory advice, both on his appearance and how to interact with women. When three co-workers -- David (Paul Rudd), Jay (Romany Malco) and Cal (Seth Rogen) -- need a fourth player for a poker game, they reluctantly rope him in.While trading raunchy stories about sexual exploits it becomes abundantly clear that Andy -- at the age of 40 -- is still a virgin.Cal advises Andy to simply "ask questions," which he practices on bookstore clerk Beth (Elizabeth Banks), who quickly becomes intrigued by him.
